Austyn’s journey into osteopathy began at the age of 12, when early experiences with
treatment for adolescent aches and pains, later understood to be related to
hypermobility, sparked a lasting interest in the field. Having personally experienced
the transformative effects of osteopathic care on quality of life, Austyn developed a
deep appreciation for the profession from a young age.

With over six years of clinical experience as an osteopath, Austyn has worked with a wide-ranging patient base, from busy professionals and expectant mothers to older adults and elite athletes competing on the global stage. This diversity has shaped a well-rounded and adaptable approach to care, tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual.
A significant highlight in Austyn’s career has been the opportunity to support both the U.S. and French national rugby 7s teams over two consecutive seasons in Singapore. Working with high-performance athletes at that level demanded not only precision and clinical expertise but also a deep understanding of injury prevention, recovery under pressure, and performance optimisation in demanding environments.
During clinical assessment, Austyn draws on a combination of detailed observations, hands-on evaluation, and open collaborative dialogue to uncover the root causes of dysfunction, not just the surface-level symptoms. His approach is thoughtful and thorough, allowing him to gain a clear understanding of each client’s unique presentation. From this foundation, he develops personalised osteopathic treatment plans that blend manual techniques, movement-based rehabilitation, and client education. His goal is always to support meaningful, long-term change by empowering individuals with the tools and confidence to take ownership of their health.
Each year in practice has continued to fuel Austyn’s passion for helping people move, feel, and live better, whether they’re preparing to return to elite sport or simply striving for a more active, comfortable lifestyle.

Austyn’s approach to osteopathy is rooted in the belief that true recovery goes beyond simply relieving pain; it’s about restoring trust in the body and empowering individuals to move forward with confidence. He creates a therapeutic space where clients feel genuinely seen and supported, taking time to listen not just to symptoms, but to the story behind them. With a deep respect for each person’s unique experience, Austyn combines thorough assessment, open dialogue, and hands-on evaluation to uncover the root causes of dysfunction and understand how lifestyle, habits, and goals shape each case.
What makes Austyn’s treatment distinctive is his ability to blend time-tested osteopathic principles with modern, evidence-based innovation. He anchors his treatments in classical osteopathic philosophy, treating the body as a whole, respecting its innate capacity to heal, and using hands-on techniques to help restore function and balance. At the same time, he actively integrates current research-based contemporary tools and approaches, whether it’s dry needling, movement-based rehab. These techniques allow him to tailor care to the individual, not just their symptoms.
Austyn has a particular interest and depth of experience in working with clients affected by Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders (HSD) and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), conditions that are often misunderstood or overlooked in mainstream healthcare. Drawing from both clinical expertise and personal understanding, Austyn takes a nuanced approach to identifying the underlying contributors to pain, instability, and fatigue often associated with hypermobility. Through a detailed assessment process, he carefully examines joint mechanics, postural patterns, soft tissue function, and the body’s adaptive responses to chronic overload or compensation. His treatment plans for hypermobile clients are highly individualised, focusing on nervous system regulation, proprioceptive retraining, gentle manual therapy, and progressive, joint-safe rehabilitation. His goal is not just to treat, but to equip clients with the tools and understanding to maintain their health far beyond the treatment room.
Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biomedical Science from University of the West of England, Bristol
Master’s Degree in Osteopathy from European School of Osteopathy
Clinical Experience in Craniosacral Therapy (CST)
Completed Specialist Training in Headache and Migraine Management
Completed Dry Needling Certification by GEMT - Global Education of Manual Therapists
Austyn has worked with a wide range of case presentations over the years, including complex and chronic conditions. One particularly challenging case involved a woman in her 60s with undiagnosed hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. She had spent years living with chronic joint pain, cardiovascular symptoms, fatigue, and frequent subluxations, often feeling dismissed or misunderstood by previous practitioners.
Drawing on his specialist interest and deep knowledge of hypermobility, Austyn approached her case with empathy and clinical insight. His focus was on creating a physically and emotionally stabilising environment, where the client felt heard, validated, and supported, many of these things for the first time in her healthcare journey.
Treatment combined gentle osteopathic techniques to relieve tissue strain and support balance, along with craniosacral therapy for nervous system regulation. He also introduced gradual rehabilitation aimed at improving neuromuscular control and joint protection. Over time, the client experienced fewer dislocations, improved posture, and regained the confidence to return to long-abandoned activities. For Austyn, this case stands as a powerful reminder of the impact of a tailored, patient-centred approach, especially for individuals living with complex, often invisible conditions like Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS).
Throughout his career, Austyn has consistently found fulfilment in helping clients return to movement, exercise, and daily life after being told they’d have to stop. Witnessing people reclaim confidence in their bodies continues to be one of the most meaningful aspects of his work.
Another key professional highlight has been building long-term, trust-based relationships with clients. Many have continued working with him over the years, and he finds deep reward in seeing their progress, not just through pain relief, but through improved movement quality, mindset, and overall well-being.
Austyn shared a memorable case involving a young child suffering from disrupted sleep due to discomfort and anxiety. His gentle, targeted treatment helped restore comfort and allowed the entire family to return to restful nights, an outcome that, for Austyn, speaks to the broader impact osteopathy can have beyond physical symptoms.
He has also supported older individuals beginning or restarting their fitness journeys, especially those sidelined by injuries like rotator cuff strains and severe back pain. Helping them recover, rebuild strength, and stay on track toward their goals has been especially fulfilling.
His continued work with clients experiencing hypermobility-related challenges has been particularly meaningful. Many of these individuals had never felt fully understood until receiving care from Austyn, and supporting their journey toward body awareness and empowerment remains a cornerstone of his practice.
Most recently, joining the multidisciplinary team at TSquared Physio has been a standout moment in Austyn’s career. Being surrounded by world-class practitioners and educators has sharpened his clinical skills, encouraged constant growth, and reinforced his commitment to delivering exceptional, cutting-edge care.

As athletes, we constantly push our bodies to achieve peak performance. However, with the thrill of competition comes the risk of injuries that can sideline us for weeks or even months. Fortunately, most sports injuries are preventable with the right approach.
In today’s fast-paced world, our bodies often bear the brunt of modern life. From managing pain and recovering from injuries to maintaining mobility, the right therapeutic approach can transform your well-being. Two standout methods in physical health—osteopathy and physiotherapy—are complementary therapies that together create a powerful synergy for recovery and long-term health.
Chronic pelvic pain (CPP) is a complex condition that affects millions of individuals, significantly impacting their quality of life. Research shows that 15-20% of women experience chronic pelvic pain at some point in their lives.
Physiotherapy, often associated with rehabilitation and injury recovery, has expanded its scope to become an integral component of athletic performance enhancement.
Becoming a mother is a transformative experience filled with joy, challenges, and significant physical changes. Prenatal and postnatal physiotherapy plays a crucial role in supporting new moms through these changes, helping them recover and thrive.
Engaging in sports or any physical activity offers numerous benefits and is a fantastic way to stay active, socialise, and maintain a healthy lifestyle. However, the thrill of competition can sometimes lead to injuries that may not only impact your performance but also your overall well-being.
