Hi, my name is Lily, I am a young senior at 50 years old and I am newly retired.

What made you sign up to the TSquared Lab Program?

The reason why I signed up to the TSquared Lab program was to age well and be independent.

What were the main challenges you faced before joining the TSquared Lab Program?

At a young age, I was diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome(IBS) and since the last 2 years I have had a patella knee cap problem so I was advised by my doctor to strengthen my knee cap muscle.

How much weight and bodyfat have you lost?

During the stint of 5 months, I did not lose much weight but I lost 6% of bodyfat.

What is your best takeaway so far?

I used to have flabby arms but since I am training with Khairul,now when I look into the mirror, I can see my biceps, good shoulder and triceps and that I feel is the best takeaway so far.

What is your proudest moment so far, during this program?

Lily: I think my proudest moment is finally being able to do chin ups and not 1 but 8, right?

Khairul: Yes, I still remember that time she used to struggle doing 1 chin up and now she does clean 8 reps.

How do you describe the program your coach designed for you?

Lily: My coach Khairul structured two sets of programs for me, one to do it at the gym,and one at home. He would be like the spy cam and keep a check on me daily. The workouts are fabulous but initially it was tough as I have this phobia of coming to the gym and doing workouts at my age but with his guidance, support and the confidence that he had in me has made me reach this milestone.

Khairul: I still remember, the first day she came up to me, immediately she told me, I don't really like dumbbells, can I do weight training with a machine as well? And, then I remember, I told her, if you want to build muscles and get stronger, dumbbells are the best way to go forward. Another 4 weeks gone by, she bought another set of dumbbells.

Lily: I do buy and keep some weights at home. I used to hate dumbbells. But, I always tell myself that quality of life is being able to carry good weights and I think that is very important.

Khairul: Now, I am scared of dumbbells because of her.

What was it like to make changes in your lifestyle?

Lily: Khairul, did not tell me to cut things from my diet, he asked me to have everything in moderation and that was very encouraging for me.

Khairul: I remember that time, she was struggling to take her protein intake daily so I told her that the best way to have protein is through protein powder,whey protein or other supplements. But, the problem with her IBS made her feel bloated and uncomfortable, everytime she came to the gym, not bringing her A game like usual so I told her to completely remove that, let's figure out some other alternative and from that moment she made very good progress.

Lily: You see, we have a good chemistry so suppose if things don’t work on A due to my IBS, we move to B, if it does not work on B we move to C, so it gels very well, and that is the reason I feel the progress was steady and fast.

Any words for TSquared Lab?

TSquared Lab is like investing in a stock that gave me passive income. It is a stock thing, you invest correctly, you reap, you invest in the wrong stock, you deplete so, I feel I made the right investment by joining TSquared Lab as I feel from the time I have joined the gym I have constantly received positive results. Also the environment here is very friendly, right from the janitor, to the trainers to the owners, everybody is very welcoming.

Any final words for your coach?

It has been an amazing journey coming to TSquared Lab and training with Khairul for the last 5 months and I am looking forward to the next milestone.
