  • Pilates Helps Dancers Move With Assistance or Against Resistance
    Pilates benefits dancers by enabling them to support their bodies, learn new movements, and repattern painful ones. The resistance in the Pilates equipment can either add weight or take it away. This helps the body take the position that normally it may not be able to. Using the assistance of the springs can help break down any movement patterns that may be contributing to the pain and then build the movement back up.
