Ajmal, a 25-year-old auxiliary police officer, started his fitness journey with a desire to improve his health and overall lifestyle. Working in a demanding profession with irregular hours, he hadn't been to a gym before. "I work as an auxiliary police officer," Ajmal shared, "and this is actually my first time stepping into a gym." With no prior experience in structured workouts, Ajmal took the leap to transform his health and fitness routine by seeking guidance from Coach Joshua at TSquared Lab.
Ajmal's inspiration stemmed from watching the popular Korean Netflix show Physical 100. The show features extraordinary individuals demonstrating their peak physical strength and fitness. "After watching the contestants, I thought, why not try to have a body like theirs one day?" Ajmal recalled. The series motivated him to explore personal training options, as he recognised that achieving such goals would require expert guidance. "I couldn’t do it on my own. I needed someone to guide me," he admitted.
Being an auxiliary police officer meant Ajmal worked long shifts, often feeling drained at the end of the day. "The biggest challenge was finding time to commit," he said. However, he managed to coordinate his schedule by sharing his roster with his personal trainer, Joshua. "Joshua would schedule my sessions on my off days or before my night shifts," Ajmal explained. Despite being tired, he made it work. "That's the only time I could come, so I just fit it in."

Ajmal admitted his eating habits weren't ideal before starting his fitness journey. "It wasn’t easy at first, but Joshua advised me to simply eat healthier," Ajmal said. He started focusing on consuming more protein, such as chicken breast, and making better overall food choices. Initially, he would send Joshua meal photos for feedback. Over time, Ajmal gained confidence in his ability to make healthier decisions independently. His weight dropped from 87 kg to an impressive 69 kg, lost 10% body fat, his size dropped from XL to M and all while increasing his strength.
Despite being new to the gym, Ajmal quickly adapted to his workout routine. Under Joshua's guidance, he focused on foundational exercises that built his strength while reducing body fat. "It was incredible to see Ajmal's progress," Joshua shared. "His weight was declining, but his strength kept improving." This balance of weight loss and muscle gain is often difficult to achieve, yet Ajmal managed it through consistent effort and dedication.
