Cheryl went for a full body check at the age of 40 and was diagnosed with hypertension. She realised that it was a wake-up call and decided to prioritise her health and join TSquared Lab.
Cheryl’s coach Afshan guided her at every step and she was able to get inspired and started to see results with Afshan’s help within 2-3 months.
Her workout was customised to strengthen her core, arms, and legs and she is extremely proud of the results that she has achieved from this program
At 40, Cheryl received a wake-up call during a routine health check-up. Her blood pressure was at a hypertension level, prompting her to take immediate action. “That was the turning point and the push factor to sign up for my journey in getting healthier and stronger,” she recalls. Knowing that Afshan, her now-trusted coach, would guide her, Cheryl felt even more compelled to begin her fitness journey.
For Cheryl, stepping into the gym was more than just physical exercise; it was about overcoming internal fears and doubts. “I never stepped into the gym before this in my entire life. I think it was primarily due to being intimidated by the machinery or just the environment,” Cheryl shares. However, with Afshan’s guidance, Cheryl learned that she could conquer her fears and accomplish more than she ever imagined.
Her workouts at TSquared Lab were tailored to her specific needs, focusing on building strength in her core, arms, and legs. “The workouts are customised, depending on your strength level, your fitness level, and areas you want to improve on,” Cheryl explains. The twice-weekly sessions with Afshan not only strengthened Cheryl’s body but also boosted her confidence.

Within just a few months, Cheryl began noticing changes in her body and strength. “I started noticing changes after two or three months. You could slowly see the changes starting to take place,” she notes. Her proudest achievement? The strength she gained, particularly in her arms, which became a symbol of her progress.
Cheryl’s journey wasn’t just about physical transformation; it was about staying committed to the process. “I put in my head that I will do the fitness thing later, but it is imperative that we take care of ourselves to stay stronger from an early age,” Cheryl reflects. Her determination to maintain a healthy lifestyle and Afshan’s constant support ensured she stayed on track.
When asked if Cheryl would recommend TSquared Lab to others she says, “Oh Yes, especially I think a lot of women in my age category, like mothers, or women who are very busy working and they think that they will just do fitness later on, which is something I also put in my mind. But I think women in their 40s must take care of themselves early on so that we can have strength and we can last longer. “
Cheryl attributes much of her success to her coach, Afshan. “My Coach is awesome. I think she is the reason why I agreed to take on this program in the first place,” Cheryl says. Afshan’s own journey of overcoming challenges and her experience in the fitness world served as a powerful motivator for Cheryl.
The trust and relationship they built were crucial to Cheryl’s transformation. “It is more than just working out; it is also building a relationship. The only way true transformation can take place is when you have trust in the person you are working with,” Cheryl affirms.

Losing weight can often feel like an uphill battle, even when you are putting in your best efforts. It’s frustrating, disheartening, demotivating, and sometimes downright confusing. You might be eating right, and exercising regularly, yet the scale refuses to budge.
Consistency in training forms the bedrock of any successful fitness journey. It’s the steady rhythm of effort and dedication that leads individuals toward their goals. Amongst the myriad of considerations in crafting an effective training regimen or finding the right personal trainer, one question often looms large: How many days a week should you train?

In a fast-paced world filled with demands and distractions, one cornerstone of well-being often takes a backseat – SLEEP.
Reps In Reserve (RIR) are the number of reps or repetitions you can accomplish before hitting a technical failure or before you miss a lift. And technical failure means that you cannot do another rep without proper form. Therefore, RIR is an effective tool to measure the intensity of your workout.
During an exercise set, time under tension (TUT) means the amount of time a muscle is put under strain in a particular exercise. With UT workouts, each phase of the workout is extended, which results in longer workout sets.
When it comes to workouts, you need to consider various factors to create a workout plan. For example, to become stronger and how your training impacts your body. That is you need to choose the right exercise, and lift the right weight, do the right number of reps, complete the set, obtain the proper rest, etc.
Have you ever found yourself stuck with your training? You’re hitting the gym consistently, putting in the effort, and doing your best, but you can’t seem to make progress toward your goals?
