Glenn, a 60-year-old IT professional, had always been active but found himself struggling with declining muscle mass and motivation. Despite his passion for cycling, Glenn realised that his fitness routine needed a fresh approach. With the guidance and support of TSquared Lab, Glenn was able to rebuild his strength, reduce body fat, and achieve a more defined physique.
“I’ve always been active, but over the years, I noticed I was losing muscle mass, and I wasn’t as strong as I used to be. I knew I needed to get back into the gym and focus on building my physique, but I also knew I needed the right guidance to do it effectively and that’s when I turned to TSquared Lab.”
Glenn loves to cycle but noticed that because of not working out properly he is losing out on his muscle mass.
Khairul designed a simple program for Glenn that was easy for him to follow and achieve his fitness goals.
With the help of Khairul and TSquared Lab, Glenn dropped his body fat by 8% and also achieved a well-defined physique.
Glenn’s coach, Khairul, structured a personalised program designed to address Glenn’s specific needs and goals. The journey began with rebuilding muscle mass, targeting areas that had weakened over time. “We focused on progressive training,” says Khairul. “Starting with the basics and gradually increasing the intensity to ensure that Glenn was building strength in a balanced and sustainable way.”
Glenn appreciated the structured approach, stating, “The workouts were progressive, and Khairul made sure that I was improving without feeling overwhelmed. We focused on different parts of my body, like my legs and upper chest, which not only helped me in the gym but also improved my cycling performance.”
The results of Glenn’s dedication were evident within a few months. His weight stabilised between 61-63 kgs, his body fat dropped from 25% to 17%, and his muscle mass increased from 48 to 50. Glenn proudly shares, “One of my goals was to reduce body fat and gain muscle, and seeing my progress in just a few months was incredibly motivating and I feel stronger now than I have in years.”
Khairul adds, “After just two months, we started seeing the first signs of defined abs, and after another couple of months, they were fully developed. It was a proud moment for both of us.”
My body fat, which was one of my goals, has come down from 25% to 17% and my muscle mass has gone up from 48 to 50.”

Glenn’s experience at TSquared Lab was shaped by the supportive environment and Khairul’s approach to training. “Khairul made things simple, and that simplicity was key for me,” Glenn explains. “If the program had been too complex, I wouldn’t have been able to stick to it. But because it was straightforward and tailored to my needs, I was able to follow through and see results.”
Nutrition was another area where Glenn made significant changes, guided by Khairul’s practical advice. “I love my food, especially local dishes, which made it tough to control my diet. But with Khairul’s help, I learned to make better choices and balance my meals without feeling deprived.”
For Glenn, the most rewarding part of his journey was cutting down on body fat and seeing his abs become defined. “I think my proudest achievement is getting those abs,” Glenn says with a smile. “But more than that, it’s the overall improvement in my strength and stamina. I’ve never felt this good.”
Khairul shares in Glenn’s pride, “As a coach, it’s incredibly satisfying to see a client achieve their goals, especially when they put in the effort and dedication that Glenn has. It’s been a win-win for both of us.”

As Glenn looks ahead, he’s excited to continue his training and set new goals. “I’m looking forward to achieving even more and staying on this path of growth and improvement,” he says. “Khairul has been great—his motivation and progressive training have kept me coming back for more.”
Khairul is equally enthusiastic, “I’ve enjoyed working with Glenn, and I hope to continue training together. He’s an inspiration to me as well, and I hope that when I’m 60, I can be as strong and fit as he is.”
To anyone unsure about joining TSquared Lab, Glenn offers his advice: “If you have goals and want to make changes in your life, TSquared Lab is a great place to start. The people here are well-trained, the environment is supportive, and the program is tailored to help you achieve your goals.
Khairul adds, “If you’re unsure, come in for a consultation. The training we provide is straightforward and to the point, and with the right effort from both the client and the trainer, you can achieve the results you want.”

Losing weight can often feel like an uphill battle, even when you are putting in your best efforts. It’s frustrating, disheartening, demotivating, and sometimes downright confusing. You might be eating right, and exercising regularly, yet the scale refuses to budge.
Consistency in training forms the bedrock of any successful fitness journey. It’s the steady rhythm of effort and dedication that leads individuals toward their goals. Amongst the myriad of considerations in crafting an effective training regimen or finding the right personal trainer, one question often looms large: How many days a week should you train?
Mental well-being is a complicated subject. Researching the topic for a while will net you countless opinions, tactics, and ancient Chinese secrets for how to elevate your well-being and lead a rich, fulfilling life.
In a fast-paced world filled with demands and distractions, one cornerstone of well-being often takes a backseat – SLEEP.
Reps In Reserve (RIR) are the number of reps or repetitions you can accomplish before hitting a technical failure or before you miss a lift. And technical failure means that you cannot do another rep without proper form. Therefore, RIR is an effective tool to measure the intensity of your workout.
During an exercise set, time under tension (TUT) means the amount of time a muscle is put under strain in a particular exercise. With UT workouts, each phase of the workout is extended, which results in longer workout sets.
When it comes to workouts, you need to consider various factors to create a workout plan. For example, to become stronger and how your training impacts your body. That is you need to choose the right exercise, and lift the right weight, do the right number of reps, complete the set, obtain the proper rest, etc.
Have you ever found yourself stuck with your training? You’re hitting the gym consistently, putting in the effort, and doing your best, but you can’t seem to make progress toward your goals?
With the steadily growing popularity of courses, group classes, and online coaching, personal training might seem like a lost art, but that is far from the truth.
