Before joining TSquared Lab, Ryan was recovering from Leukemia. He was not able to work out for a long time due to his health so he wanted to do something to get moving and feel stronger physically.
Dimitar, Ryan’s trainer considered his medical condition and developed a personalised training program for him, guiding him on performing the exercises in the right way.
Ryan was able to gain 7 kg of healthy body weight and gain muscles while losing body fat and also get back to playing sports, something that he is proud of.
Guiding Ryan through his recovery and fitness journey is his trainer Dimi at TSquared Lab. Reflecting on how he structured Ryan’s program, Dimi says, “We started with a focus on rebuilding Ryan’s strength from the ground up. Given his health history, we took a phased approach—beginning with gentle exercises and gradually increasing intensity. I monitored his progress closely, adjusting the program tp his recovery needs, ensuring a safe and effective path to regaining his fitness.”
Ryan adds, “Dimi’s approach was patient and methodical. Restarting from scratch was tough, especially after my health issues, but his structured guidance helped me make significant progress. My biggest accomplishment was seeing my body adapt and improve over time, especially when I saw a reduction in body fat during the bulking up phase.”
Dimi’s approach mirrors TSquared Lab’s philosophy of a holistic and supportive fitness program. Ryan appreciates the comprehensive support he received, saying, “The training at TSquared Lab wasn’t just about the gym. It was about integrating exercise into my daily life and finding balance. The support from Dimi and the team has been incredible. I feel more energetic and focused, and the improvements in my health and fitness have been a real boost to my confidence.”
After my recovery from Leukemia, the training at TSquared Lab added more quality to my life as sports used to be a big part of my life, and getting back to it made me very happy.”

Reps In Reserve (RIR) are the number of reps or repetitions you can accomplish before hitting a technical failure or before you miss a lift. And technical failure means that you cannot do another rep without proper form. Therefore, RIR is an effective tool to measure the intensity of your workout.
During an exercise set, time under tension (TUT) means the amount of time a muscle is put under strain in a particular exercise. With UT workouts, each phase of the workout is extended, which results in longer workout sets.
When it comes to workouts, you need to consider various factors to create a workout plan. For example, to become stronger and how your training impacts your body. That is you need to choose the right exercise, and lift the right weight, do the right number of reps, complete the set, obtain the proper rest, etc.
