Sonia, an in-house legal counsel, was struggling with severe asthma and the inability to keep up with her active family but through dedication and the expert guidance of TSquared Lab, she was able to regain her stamina and transform her life.
“I was quite unhappy with the way I looked, I felt very sluggish. I had some health problems, I had to rely on asthma medications to get through my daily life and while I did work out on my own, I realised that I needed professional help. I wasn’t getting anywhere on my own steam, I needed guidance and so I looked at TSquared Lab.”
Before starting with TSquared Lab, Sonia found herself hindered in her ability to lead an active lifestyle and couldn’t keep up with her active family.
Renee monitored the training on the basis of Sonia’s endurance, she monitored the heart rate, and her Vo2 Max and designed the program and intensity based on her data, so that it would not trigger anything or harm her in any way.
Once Sonia got her diet on track and started working out, she started seeing results within 3 to 4 weeks, her clothes were starting to get loose, her weight on the scale was dropping, and she could see that she was getting stronger.
Guiding Sonia step by step through this journey is her trainer Renee at TSquared Lab. Recalling how she structured the entire program for Sonia she says, “So for her transformation, I used phases, so for the first phase we do the conditioning and strengthening and then when she is ready for next goal we will go to the next phase which is increasing muscle and decrease the fat, that is going to be more faster, if she is going to combine it with food and deficit and for the diet I try to give her, challenging calories deficit, and from that every week I will ask her, do you feel hungry with this? and then I will add, so I ask her to do the difficult first until we meet up with, which she can do the diet on the certain calories.” Sonia agrees and says “Yeah, and I think once I hit a certain level of conditioning, we realised I no longer need my medication that much, then we could go harder on the strength training.”

Now, I realised I actually have the stamina, I am not winded anymore so, I think that’s my proudest moment like not being dependent on my medication.”

The transformation results speak for themselves, showcasing Sonia’s incredible progress through improved strength, stamina, and independence from medication. I have lost 15 kilos and 14% body fat. It's like a whole child. Renee proudly adds, “Plus, she has moved from size XL to size M every month she reports to me on this. She keeps buying new clothes.” Sonia laughs and says, “She keeps seeing me in new clothes every month, I have to revamp my wardrobe.”
When asked about what that one achievement during this program that she is extremely proud of, Sonia says, “I think it was when I realised, I could not wear any of my clothes anymore but more than that it was when I realised, I did not need some of my asthma medications throughout the day to cope. So, I used to have to use my inhaler before my workout, and now I realised actually I have the stamina. I am not winded anymore so, I think that’s my proudest moment, like not being dependent on my medication.”
Renee also talks about how Sonia was struggling with asthma before, she says, “For me, the proudest moment was, when she was doing an uphill run before, she needed her inhaler or always she needed some rest midway, before going uphill. Now, she can run there without rest, without medication.”

Longevity is the pursuit of living a longer, healthier life by making conscious choices that promote overall well-being.
Losing weight can often feel like an uphill battle, even when you are putting in your best efforts. It’s frustrating, disheartening, demotivating, and sometimes downright confusing. You might be eating right, and exercising regularly, yet the scale refuses to budge.
Consistency in training forms the bedrock of any successful fitness journey. It’s the steady rhythm of effort and dedication that leads individuals toward their goals. Amongst the myriad of considerations in crafting an effective training regimen or finding the right personal trainer, one question often looms large: How many days a week should you train?
Mental well-being is a complicated subject. Researching the topic for a while will net you countless opinions, tactics, and ancient Chinese secrets for how to elevate your well-being and lead a rich, fulfilling life.
In a fast-paced world filled with demands and distractions, one cornerstone of well-being often takes a backseat – SLEEP.
Reps In Reserve (RIR) are the number of reps or repetitions you can accomplish before hitting a technical failure or before you miss a lift. And technical failure means that you cannot do another rep without proper form. Therefore, RIR is an effective tool to measure the intensity of your workout.
During an exercise set, time under tension (TUT) means the amount of time a muscle is put under strain in a particular exercise. With UT workouts, each phase of the workout is extended, which results in longer workout sets.
When it comes to workouts, you need to consider various factors to create a workout plan. For example, to become stronger and how your training impacts your body. That is you need to choose the right exercise, and lift the right weight, do the right number of reps, complete the set, obtain the proper rest, etc.
Have you ever found yourself stuck with your training? You’re hitting the gym consistently, putting in the effort, and doing your best, but you can’t seem to make progress toward your goals?
With the steadily growing popularity of courses, group classes, and online coaching, personal training might seem like a lost art, but that is far from the truth.
Like most people interested in building muscle, you’ve probably asked others what the best repetition range is for the goal.
